Hosting your cloud IT infrastructure with Cloupard gives you access to licensed software on a monthly‑billing basis. This guarantees full license compliance, full flexibility, and access to the latest versions of every product.

You pay only for the software you actually use during each billing month.

Windows Server — any edition, any number of instances — is included in every Elastic Cloud Hyper‑V plan. You don't need to manage Windows Server licensing at all.

Office, Visio, and Visual Studio can be installed on a user's virtual desktop inside your IT infrastructure and are accessed via Remote Desktop Services (terminal mode). With virtual desktops, you must pay for terminal access on a per‑user basis.

You pay a monthly fee for every user (a physical person) who has access to the software product. Users who are inactive in Active Directory for the full billing month are not billed.

SQL Server
In the reporting month, you need to pay for the version of SQL Server being used for each core of the virtual processor of the virtual machine or physical server. 1 license for 2 cores.

Important: If you are using an SQL cluster in Active-Passive mode, you do not need to license the Passive server! For a small number of users, it makes sense to license SQL Server Standard per user.

Before planning to deploy Exchange, SharePoint, or Lync on virtual infrastructure plans, consider using the ready-made Microsoft 365 service.

A monthly fee is charged for each user (individual) with access to the software. Users who remain inactive in Active Directory for the entire billing month are not charged

Using Windows Server when ordering the Elastic Cloud Hyper-V service in any edition and in any volume is included in the cost of the tariff plan.

You only need to pay for the use of Windows Server on additional equipment in the case of hybrid cloud/on-premises deployment or on other platforms implemented via Cloupard.

Windows Server is paid for based on the number of processors used, and it is the physical processors that are counted. One license is required as long as the number of virtual processor cores in virtual machines does not exceed the number of cores in a physical processor.

The use of the System Center product line for monitoring, backup, configuration, etc., of the Cloupard platform, including providing access to VMM via the automation system, monitoring information for users, etc., is our internal task, and users do not have to pay for this additionally.

Some additional Cloupard services based on System Center products, such as “Backup,” include all necessary license fees.

It is necessary to pay for the use of System Center if it is deployed within the infrastructure or on additional equipment in a hybrid cloud/on-premises deployment, with its own copy of System Center.

For hybrid cloud/on-premises deployment, it is advantageous to use Core Infrastructure, which includes Windows Server + System Center.
